Brookings Institution: Papers from the Committee on the History of the Federal Reserve System

Now on FRASER: A collection of documents gathered or created by the Committee during 1954-1958, in the course of its efforts to assemble “a comprehensive history of the Federal Reserve System.”

Recent additions to this collection include administrative correspondence, memorandums, and reports of the Committee, as well as various records and research materials compiled by the Committee. Highlights include the Profile of Federal Reserve Top Command charts and correspondence between Fred I. Kent and Benjamin Strong on the purchase of German gold by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
