These two daily series, used for financial analysis, come from NASDAQ OMX Group. The NASDAQ 100 Index includes 100 of the largest domestic and international non-financial securities based on market capitalization that are listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market. The NASDAQ Composite Index is also weighted by market capitalization, with more than 3000 common equities listed on NASDAQ. The types of securities in the index include American depositary receipts (ADRs), common stocks, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and tracking stocks. The index includes all NASDAQ listed stocks that are not derivatives, preferred shares, funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), or debentures.
These 15 monthly series are constructed by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and include various interest rate spreads such as the 10-year breakeven inflation rate and the 5-year, 5-year forward inflation expectation rate. Some monthly interest rate spreads that include corporate bond rates and the federal funds rate may extend further back than the existing daily interest rate spreads.
Now on FRASER: A collection of documents gathered or created by the Committee during 1954-1958, in the course of its efforts to assemble “a comprehensive history of the Federal Reserve System.”
Recent additions to this collection include administrative correspondence, memorandums, and reports of the Committee, as well as various records and research materials compiled by the Committee. Highlights include the Profile of Federal Reserve Top Command charts and correspondence between Fred I. Kent and Benjamin Strong on the purchase of German gold by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
FRASER now has issues of the CPI Detailed Report, 1974-2014, along with its predecessor, the Consumer Price Index, 1953-1974. New issues of the CPI Detailed Report will be added to FRASER each month as they are produced.
These circulars were issued to member banks to address key topics in the Bank’s mission, procedures, and processes. FRASER now has added circulars from 1962 to 1966.
The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC have reached a new agreement on the use of Standard & Poors and Dow Jones Averages series in FRED©. FRED and its associated services will include 10 years of daily history for Standard & Poors and Dow Jones Averages series. The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices are unchanged.
These 300 quarterly series published by the Bank for International Settlements represent credit provided to private non-financial sectors for 40 countries. The data include credit provided by domestic banks and total credit to private non-financial sectors. For most countries, total credit is divided into credit to non-financial corporations and credit to households and non-profit institutions serving households.
FRASER has added a collection of source materials cited by Allan Meltzer in his two-volume history of the Federal Reserve System.
These 232 monthly series are from the Business Leaders Survey and Empire State Manufacturing Survey produced by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The Business Leaders Survey has 56 series and focuses on the service sector in New York State, northern New Jersey, and Fairfield County, Connecticut. The Empire State Manufacturing Survey has 176 series and focuses on the manufacturing sector only in New York State.
